In the driver app
- Open Hauli and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted, then re-enter your password.
- Confirm. You are signed out straight away and location tracking stops.
You can delete your account even while you are working a job. Your part of that job is closed at that point — any load in progress is marked as not completed, and any open load-change request is declined — and the contractor sees that you left the job. The loads you already delivered stay on the contractor’s records.
On the contractor dashboard
- Sign in at app.gohauli.ca.
- Go to Settings → Danger zone → Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted, then re-enter your password.
- Confirm. You are signed out straight away.
If you are a member of a company’s team (not its owner), deleting your account removes only you. Jobs you created and disputes you raised stay with the company, showing your name as text only.
By email
If you can’t sign in, email info@gohauli.ca from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my Hauli account”. We will confirm the request is really from you before deleting anything, and complete it within 30 days. The same rules below apply to a deletion we carry out for you.
If you own a company account
The owner of a company account can’t delete their account while that company still has other team members, or has jobs that are not yet completed or cancelled. The deletion is refused until the other members have been removed and every open job has been finished or cancelled. Transferring ownership to someone else is not available yet.
Once your company has no other members and no open jobs, you can delete your account — and the whole company account and all of its data are deleted with it: its jobs, load tickets, drivers’ work records on those jobs, and its settings.
What is deleted and what is kept
Deleted
- Your login account — your email and password stop working immediately
- Your profile: name, email address, phone number and other profile details (such as licence class, availability and rating)
- The signature images you drew to sign load tickets
- Your GPS location history — the raw location points and the stored job route for you
- Your in-app notifications
- Your device’s push notification token
Kept for the contractor’s records
- Load tickets — the signature image is removed, but the ticket stays marked as signed, with the date it was signed
- Loads — the pickup → drop-off cycles that were confirmed
- Per-driver job assignments, and the earnings and pricing recorded on them
- Load-change request history
- Job event history — including a “driver left” entry if you delete your account while on a job
- Jobs created by a member of a contractor’s team
- Disputes raised on load tickets
- Payment records
- Load ticket PDFs already issued to the contractor
Why some records are kept. When a driver works a contractor’s job, the tickets, loads and pay for that work are also the contractor’s business records, which it may need for billing, tax, accounting or legal reasons. So when a driver — or a member of a contractor’s team — deletes their account, those records stay with the contractor — but your name is kept on them only as plain text, no longer linked to any account. Your email address, phone number, licence class, signature images and location history are not kept with them.
The one exception is issued ticket PDFs. A load ticket PDF that was already issued is kept exactly as it was issued, as part of the contractor’s records — it still shows the name, email address and licence class that were printed on it at the time. Records kept for a contractor are kept for as long as the contractor’s account exists and are deleted with it.
Copies in our backups are removed as the backups expire, within 90 days. Error reports, if error tracking is enabled, have names, email addresses, phone numbers and location removed before they are sent.
